General Board Honors Phil Stevenson

Evangelism and Church Growth General Director, Phil Stevenson, was honored by the General Board of The Wesleyan Church at its 115th meeting, November 17-18, 2009, at the Church’s world headquarters in Fishers, IN. Stevenson, who served over four years as a General Officer, resigned effective December 31, 2009, and will be moving to Sacramento, California, where he will serve part-time as Director of Church Multiplication and Leadership Development and Northern California regional director for the Pacific Southwest District. He also will do college-level teaching.
BGS chair, Dr. Jo Anne Lyon, presented Stevenson with a chalice and paten set in honor of his service on behalf of the Church. Dr. Lyon thanked him for his “unswerving commitment to church multiplication and constant pursuit of making the Church missional.”
