Aug. 4, 2009

Eleven teams from across the nation and around the world arrived at Southern Wesleyan University's  campus on July 27, where they will be housed while the Big League World Series takes to the baseball diamonds at J.B. "Red" Owens Sports Complex in Easley, S.C., through Aug. 5. Members of the West team of Thousand Oaks, Calif., (pictured) head across the Southern Wesleyan University campus in Central, S.C., shortly after arriving for the Series.

SWU houses and feeds more than 200 players while they compete in the tournament. Big League Baseball, a division of the World Series baseball tournaments in Williamsport, PA, is for players ages 16-18. The World Series finals will be aired on the ESPN network.
