A Godly Legacy

Dr. Louise Carlton challenged students to leave a godly legacy and to take a stand against wrong and injustice.
Carlton is a veteran educator, member of the Southern Wesleyan University board of trustees and a lay representative from the Shenandoah District of The Wesleyan Church in Virginia.
Carlton spoke on October 22 to a chapel service attended also by members of the university's board of trustees and board of visitors. Carlton, who has been involved regionally and nationally in educational issues, has served throughout her career as an advocate for children and youth. She has served as a teacher, a high school principal and a school superintendent.
Dr. Carlton holds degrees from United Wesleyan College, Greenville College, Virginia Commonwealth University and Southeastern University. Carlton serves as a member of the district board of administration and the district board of ministerial development for The Wesleyan Church.
