Opportunities for International Ministry
Global Partners provides multiple opportunities for service overseas
from a few weeks to long-term. Specific assignments vary among the 90 countries we serve in ministry and support. The
top five roles needed for service currently are:
- Church Planting
People are needed for pioneer mission fields
to plant the church where it does not currently exist. Missionaries will be involved in evangelism, discipleship,
small group ministries, and church planting. Experience in these areas is encouraged.
- Leadership Development
Opportunities exist for leadership development
of national church pastors through formal training as well as mentoring/coaching relationships. Experience in pastoral
ministry and/or leadership positions will be a great benefit for serving in this role.
- Theological Education
One of the greatest needs we have around
the world is for trained and educated pastors to lead our growing churches. Opportunities exist for theological educators
in both traditional education models as well as itinerant/extension classes.
- Medical
Global Partners believes in holistic ministry, which includes meeting the
medical needs of people in the name of Christ. We are looking for people who are educated and experienced in
various areas of the medical field. Some of our most pressing needs are medical doctors, physician assistants,
and pharmacy technicians.
- TESOL
One skill that is needed in many different areas of the world is TESOL
(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). TESOL is used as a method of building relationships,
offering education to help raise the skill level of the students and help them get better jobs. It is
preferred that TESOL missionaries have certification and/or undergraduate education in this type of
teaching. TESOL can be used in a formal classroom setting or in a more informal setting such as
community schools and conversational classes. All GP TESOL missionaries are also involved in other
varied ministry opportunities depending on the location.
