TheoCon (short for “Theological Conversations”) is a two-day event hosted by Education & Clergy Development and sponsored by Lantern.

Drawing from the strengths of prior Doctrinal Symposia, TheoCon was introduced as pilot project in 2024 with a few dozen people attending. This year, we want to expand the attendance but space is limited to 100 registrations. I realize that your time is both in demand and is limited. Any and all Wesleyan clergy are invited to attend. Whether or not you are able to attend, please feel free to share this event with others who might be interested.

TheoCon is comprised of academics and pastors in various offices and roles, including deans, professors, campus pastors, senior and staff pastors, district superintendents, and other ministers and administrators. We will gather to enjoy, discuss, and apply Christology in honor of the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicea. Teaching from Dr. Jerome Van Kuiken and Rev. Meredith Brower will help to inspire our conversation.

In order to help you get to TheoCon, a reimbursement of up to $250 for travel and hotel costs is available. We hope the gathering fosters friendship and doctrinal faithfulness by enjoying theological conversations that strengthen The Wesleyan Church’s witness in word, deed, and sign. The event includes focus group discussions, round-table discussions, presentations, and corporate worship.
