Rev. SD Kanu, former National Superintendent of The Wesleyan Church of Sierra Leone, lost his daughter, Susan, recently in a tragic accident.
Susan was killed in Freetown when she and two friends were struck by a large truck while walking down a street. A college student who aspired to be a doctor, she was killed immediately. Susan’s friends were also killed.
Kanu led The Wesleyan Church of Sierra Leone during the critical times of the rebel war and was behind rebel lines for eight months. While Kanu attended Columbia International Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina, he also served as an assistant pastor at High Point First Wesleyan Church in High Point, North Carolina.
