“The Discipline of The Wesleyan Church” requires the election of 12 lay and 12 ministerial members to serve as area representatives on the General Board. The General Board is comprised of 25 voting members; area representatives and the General Superintendent. Each representative aligns with the theme of the 2022 General Conference, “Unleashed, so that all can be made new,” follows the membership leadership requirements and is willingly available to attend all meetings of the General Board.
Non-voting members of the General Board with voice are the four executive directors, the general treasurer/chief financial officer, the chief executive officer of Wesleyan Investment Foundation/Wesleyan Pension Fund, and college and university presidents.
Please pray for the North American General Conference and the 2022-2026 General Board as they seek the leading of the Holy Spirit to provide wisdom, direction and accountability for the leadership of The Wesleyan Church.
