On June 12, 2014, Dr. Karl Eastlack and Rev. Anita Eastlack were elected as co-district superintendents by an overwhelming majority in the Penn-Jersey District of The Wesleyan Church. In a second ballot, they were given an extended call also by an overwhelming majority. This is historic on two counts: this is the first time a woman has served as a district superintendent in the North American General Conference, and this is the first time a Wesleyan district will have co-district superintendents.
