Houghton College’s online degree programs were lauded recently by Christian Universities Online (CUO), which included the college in its list of Top 25 Online Christian Colleges and Universities.
A variety of existing majors, pre-professional and graduate-level courses, include both traditional classroom and online formats. The college has six programs available completely online:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Business Administration degree in human resources management, integrated marketing & communication, management or leadership development;
- Bachelor of Arts in psychology;
- Associate of Arts option.
Known for its primarily residential campus, Houghton’s development of fully online programs offers its high-quality education to learners seeking greater flexibility–whether they have a full-time job and study in the evenings, are a stay-at-home parent, or are simply looking for a non-residential college experience.
“We are responding to the current reality of the educational market, which requires greater flexibility and accessibility to high-quality degree programs,” said Dr. Marlene Collins-Blair, dean of Houghton College Online. “We believe that we are well positioned to do just that.”
Christian Universities Online is an online resource for students and families who are researching Christian higher education. Houghton College was recognized and ranked by CUO earlier this year as a top 50 mission-minded college, having the second-best music program among Christian colleges, and was named one of the top 10 schools for visual arts programs.
