In light of the recent Reproductive Health Act passed in the state of New York, The Wesleyan Church encourages its leaders and laypersons to read its Position Statement on the Sanctity of Life.
The Wesleyan Church firmly believes in the sanctity of life, and this Position Statement includes official and biblical roots that speak into the following topics:
- abortion
- infanticide, euthanasia and removal of life-support systems
- suicide
- capital punishment
- extraordinary pain-killing treatment
- donation of body parts
