On Thursday, June 18, 2015, The Wesleyan Church headquarters partnered with the Lausanne Church Planting Network to host a Strategic Consultation on Church Planting in the Americas. Among the participants were church planters and resource providers, denominational and mission leaders, and educators. The presentations and discussion focused on the following four themes:
- Strategic Alliances for Collaborative Church Planting Efforts
- Biblical Ecclesiology: What is the Church?
- Church Planting in Culturally Diverse North America
- Succession: The Next Generation of Church Planters
The purpose of the Lausanne Church Planting Network is to promote global mission through connecting influencers and ideas around the theme of church planting, with a view to promote critical reflection, increase collaboration, and stimulate effectiveness.
