The first weekend in December was championship-filled for athletic programs at three Wesleyan colleges and universities.
The Houghton College women’s soccer team won the program’s first-ever National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division 1 National Championship, beating Mississippi College. Read the full story.
Indiana Wesleyan University’s women’s volleyball team claimed the 2015 NCCAA Division 1 National Championship this weekend against Oklahoma Baptist University. Read the story here.
And the men’s soccer team at Southern Wesleyan University won its second NCCAA Division 1 National Championship, its second in three years. The team beat Bethel College. Read about it here.
All three championships took place in Kissimmee, Fla.
