The Wesleyan Investment Foundation (WIF) is pleased to announce that Dr. Jim Dunn will join their executive level staff as the Vice President of Church Relations effective at the rise of the June 2016 General Conference of The Wesleyan Church.
Jim’s work for WIF will help the Foundation fulfill their mission of better equipping churches and ministries to help them reach their communities for Christ. Ministry renewal, revitalization, and local church health for kingdom advancement will be Jim’s focus for churches and pastors who are current and potential clients of Wesleyan Investment Foundation. Pastoral consultations, retreats, renewal weekends, conferences, district training events, and ministry consultations will all be a vital part of this new ministry initiative of WIF.
“Dr. Jim Dunn is a remarkably gifted and anointed leader,” said Dr. Jo Anne Lyon, General Superintendent of The Wesleyan Church. “It has been my honor and joy to work closely with Jim these past 7+ years. We both share the vision and commitment of his successful completion in June 2016 of current ministries as the Executive Director of the Church Multiplication and Discipleship Division for The Wesleyan Church. I offer my personal and denominational affirmation on the announcement of the new position of Dr. Dunn with WIF. He will continue to offer his God-given gifts in building and strengthening the local church–truly Kingdom business that is eternal.”
“We are very pleased to have Jim as part of our ministry endeavors at Wesleyan Investment Foundation,” commented Dr. Craig Dunn, Chief Executive Officer at WIF. He has the gifts, graces, and leadership experiences to assist and encourage the many pastors and churches WIF partners with for Kingdom advancement. Jim has known since the age of twelve, when he was called into vocational ministry, that God was preparing him to serve the church, help pastors, and preach the good news of Jesus Christ.”
The call of the Lord, coupled with Jim’s leadership experience, uniquely qualifies him for this position. He served as a local church pastor in a thriving congregation for fifteen years. At the end of May 2016, his vast experience of leading at the executive level for The Wesleyan Church World Headquarters for twelve years as the denomination’s only General Director of Spiritual Formation (8 years), as well as The Wesleyan Church’s first Executive Director of Church Multiplication and Discipleship (CMAD, 4 years), all contribute to many church and ministry experiences over the past twenty-five years of local church and denominational service.
