RVER group dreaming about potential in Houghton, N.Y.
A group of Houghton College students began imagining how their town could have more to see and do. Now, the RVER (Regional Ventures in Economic Revitalization) Group has joined arms with local officials to help facilitate more economic growth and opportunities for events.
Minnesota nurse traveled to Sierra Leone to help in Ebola crisis; plans to return
Carrie Jo Kind, a pediatric nurse and former missionary kid with Global Partners, spent two weeks in Sierra Leone in September to deliver supplies and help train medical workers about Ebola. She and her family plan to return to the country next year as long-term missionaries.
Indiana college students pay $1,300 tip for $13 pizza
Students at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion presented a local pizza delivery man with a $1,268 tip, along with gift cards and notes, after he delivered a $12.50 pizza on stage during a chapel service.
Love Chapel Hill holds fifth annual scavenger hunt
Love Chapel Hill, a Wesleyan church in North Carolina, held its fifth annual Downtown Scavenger Hunt as a way to “give back to the town” they love, according to Rev. Matt LeRoy.
