World news headlines have been monopolized by recent acts of terrorism. These reports can evoke uncertainty, fear, and questions. I am writing to assure you that Global Partners is not backing away from our mission and to share with you the many ways Global Partners engages and responds with our missionaries and international churches. Engagement and response systems include:
Clear and consistent communication—our field leaders who are in constant contact with those most affected by acts of violence keep us updated.
Readiness Plans—each field is responsible to have a plan for emergency situations. Their plans include emergency contacts, U.S. Embassy connections, financial preparation, and consistent contact with the Indianapolis Resource Team.
U.S. State Department and National Government Advisories monitoring
Professional agency partnership that is well prepared to advise, assist and engage should our teams be in danger.
Wellness Team providing care for individuals’ and families’ emotional stress. The Wellness Team maintains close contact allowing them to assess, counsel and care as needed.
Maintenance of security protocols in countries where high security is critical to on-going ministry effectiveness.
Reassurance of the prayers and concern of the International Church. We are in this together with our trust and hope firmly placed in the One who is Lord. Your prayers matter and are coveted.
The mission is moving forward with greater results than ever before. We dare not shrink back in fear that the Enemy would love to paralyze us. We move forward in wisdom and in great faith that he who is with us and lives in us is greater than he who is in the world.
Continue to pray for our teams’ safety and for more open doors leading to transformed lives, churches and communities.
Global Partners is proceeding with confidence that God is present and his people are praying. We are in this together. Thanks be to God!
